Trump Threatens, Conducted Military Action Against Multiple Countries
The report adds that Oman has now been included in that list, following recent remarks made during a White House Cabinet meeting in which Trump warned the country over potential actions related to the Strait of Hormuz.
During the meeting, Trump reportedly said: “Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow ‘em up,” in reference to discussions involving control or tolls on the strategic waterway.
The comments were presented as an offhand remark rather than a formal policy statement, though the report suggests they reflect a broader pattern in which threats of force have frequently appeared in Trump’s foreign policy approach.
According to the CNN analysis cited, Oman would be at least the 15th country affected by threats, potential strikes, or direct military action linked to Trump’s presidency or current term.
The report also states that, so far in the current term, US military strikes have been carried out in several countries including Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen, with some of those also targeted during his previous administration.
In addition, the report notes that operations against alleged drug-trafficking vessels in the Caribbean and Pacific have resulted in dozens of intercepted boats and more than 190 fatalities since last September.
Beyond direct military actions, the report says other countries have been mentioned in potential strike scenarios or warnings, including Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Greenland, Mexico, Panama, and Oman.
During his first term, similar threats were reportedly directed at countries such as Mexico and North Korea, reflecting what the report describes as a recurring foreign policy pattern centered on deterrence through the possibility of force.
